Cooking with Cora :: Ramen Noodles

Cooking with Cora :: Ramen Noodles

This is one of my FAVORITE meals in our house. I posted it on my social media a while ago and got a ton of responses asking for the recipe. So here it is! We had to wait for the miso soup mix packets to come in so sorry for the delay! #IslandLife This is an awesome hack on Ramen Noodles. It's the perfect "use what you have" recipe too. We switch out the leafy greens and garnishes all the time.

SWIMMIAMI: Outfits, Snacking, Giveaways and More...

SWIMMIAMI: Outfits, Snacking, Giveaways and More...

SWIMMIAMI was wonderfully insane. This was my second year working the event with The Riviere Agency, and the first time working it under/in partnership with LDJ, and I have to say it was such an amazing honor and pleasure to be a part of the team. Our PR firm kicks major ass. Working production/PR is a tricky thing. You have to look and feel put together, but you are pulling 20 hour work days and you are barely sleeping or eating. You need to remember to plan your outfits and days accordingly... you need pockets and snacks. Don't forget the snacks or you may cry at 3am. Not saying it happened, but it might have. So, to save you any troubles, I'm bringing you a little #WhatsInMyBag from my favorite #OOTD from SWIMMIAMI.

Parisian Picks! #Food

Parisian Picks! #Food

I have been beyond slow at sharing our trip. I know. But it's fun to go over the trip a month later and see how fun and delicious it really was. Sharing the post makes me want all of these amazing dishes again. I wish I had taken even more food photos because I'm a nerd and these are some of our greatest memories. We are food people. We can't help it.

With the help of my husband, I'm about to recount some of the best food spots in Paris.

La La Love London #Food

La La Love London #Food

London was everything. We were ready to cancel our return flight, and relocate on day one. It doesn't hurt that great beer and pies & mash are everywhere. I'm a mutt of a human, I like it that way. I'm Irish, English, Russian, German, and Polish. This means, my favorite meal probably involves mashed potatoes. So being in a city, where that best mashed potatoes (and mushy peas), are at any turn, well I was basically in heaven. London is full of parks and garden. People meeting with their friends to have drinks in a mini park after work. Bar patrons spilling out on to the streets to chat. Everyone has style, like New York City, but British. People are friendly, and everywhere feels like Cheers.

Bahamas Rum Festival 2015

Bahamas Rum Festival 2015

Sunday we headed over to the Rum Fest at Fort Charlotte in Nassau to see what all the flyers were about. It was pretty fantastic to be honest. Not too crowded which, for me, makes it much more relaxing, and we met up with some friends.  They had everything in a pirate theme, and I am a sucker for a good themed party. It's the sorority girl in me. There was even an amazing food and rum pairing session which I instagram-ed about a few times. The pairing sessions included an Octopus and Lion Fish Rum Ceviche and finished off with a homemade Rum Marshmallow and Chocolate S'more. I ate two of those and would've eaten 6 if they had let me...

Wine Tasting at Young's

Wine Tasting at Young's

Last week, Young's Fine Wine had a Italian wine tasting. I ALWAYS miss these, and it hurts my soul, but I finally made one! I will tell you... it was worth the wait. I'll never miss one again. William Young, the owner, has such an incredible knowledge and passion for wine. It's just infectious...

Reindeer Food Madness

Reindeer Food Madness

The other night, I was home alone sitting next to the tree, watching I Survived, and decided it needed to get a little more in the spirit around here. So I headed to the kitchen and dove in to making some reindeer food. Yes, we had all of the ingredients already in our kitchen because J likes this place stocked like a grocery store. I'm not mad at it.

Apple Pie Recipe Inspiration

Apple Pie Recipe Inspiration

Last week my Mother-In-Law gave us a few pie dishes. J had told her how I had made this Peanut Butter Pie for a party a few weeks ago, but was irked by the idea that I had to use a disposable tin pan since we didn't own a real pie dish. Now I hear how snobby and bratty that sounds, but I love platters and hosting a good party, so a tin pan basically stabs me in the heart. Just a little bit.
