La La Love London #Food

La La Love London #Food

London was everything. We were ready to cancel our return flight, and relocate on day one. It doesn't hurt that great beer and pies & mash are everywhere. I'm a mutt of a human, I like it that way. I'm Irish, English, Russian, German, and Polish. This means, my favorite meal probably involves mashed potatoes. So being in a city, where that best mashed potatoes (and mushy peas), are at any turn, well I was basically in heaven. London is full of parks and garden. People meeting with their friends to have drinks in a mini park after work. Bar patrons spilling out on to the streets to chat. Everyone has style, like New York City, but British. People are friendly, and everywhere feels like Cheers.

Crop Tops and Boyfriend Jeans

Crop Tops and Boyfriend Jeans

If you haven't noticed, I'm living my life in BF jeans. I remember having a pair back in LA, but they were really just jeans that were too big, so every time I sat down my butt showed. Real talk. I always had to make sure to wear the right full butted underwear with them. In high school, my professional hip hop dance days (yes, that's a true story), I had a few pairs with the same issue. Space in the thighs, with co-existing plumber situations. So, as comfortable as these past jeans were, they weren't relaxing. I always had to watch my back. Literally.

A Floral One Piece to Die For

A Floral One Piece to Die For

When I was in middle school, I was pumped to get a two piece "bikini" from Limited Too. I felt so grown up. But now, that I live on the beach and I'm tad bit older, I don't always feel the need to show everything. Sometimes a one piece can even feel sexier than a teeny bikini.  I've posted one on FromCtoC before, but when I received this floral piece of perfection if felt like the ball game changed forever. It's a thick bathing suit. Double lined, feels secure (you feel a little more sucked in in a good way), and there are no camel toe issues. Let's be honest, that's a major deciding factor in swimwear.

#SaveTheUndies

#SaveTheUndies

It's not often Aunt Flow is mentioned on a style blog, but it's a real thing that happens... monthly. So, why not? Whenever she comes to town, I feel so grateful that we are no longer on the Oregon Trail, and that people have paid attention making this monthly situation easier. As a dancer and beach baby growing up, I never had the time to sacrifice or sit out. And as I get older, it's nice to know I won't have one of those middle school moments. (Never fun.) Plus, spring is a time for white pants! You don't have time to skip that white lace mini while the sun it out just for mother nature. So, I'm partnering with U by Kotex to bring you their brand new 3D Capture Core technology, and help you become a warrior against losing all those underwear we spend good money on.

Boyfriend Jeans + ShoeDazzle Mules

Boyfriend Jeans + ShoeDazzle Mules

A while back I saw these ShoeDazzle mules in red on Orly Shani and fell in love. She's sweet and cool and effortless. Red mules on her were like, duh. But I was nervous that I couldn't pull them off. So, I waited for months, debating back and forth between black and red, and then eventually they went on final sale and I decide to heck with it, and order them in both colors. They are SO comfortable and probably favorites in my closet. I wish I had ordered the months ago! Isn't it funny how that works?

AerieSWIM Sunset Stroll

AerieSWIM Sunset Stroll

It has been raining for what feels like DAYS. Yesterday the clouds parted and gave us a gorgeous sunset. Jeff and I headed to the beach, to get me out of the house and grab some good old fresh air. It was perfection. Working from home means I don't go outside nearly as much as I should with beaches like this. It really takes effort, which sounds ridiculous, but it's true.

Sunday Shorts + Ray-Ban Giveaway!

Sunday Shorts + Ray-Ban Giveaway!

When I came across these Old Navy shorts, I knew we were going to be friends. Pajamas I can wear in public. Yes, please. I always over size myself when I'm shopping online so these are a tad bit baggy, but they feel incredible. I have big plans to order another pair soon. I have my eyes on the blue and white striped pair.. a size down of course. My mom got me this amazing gold tote a while back and while I usually use it for travel, I loved that it added a touch of fancy to my simple OOTD.

Mermaid Maxi Moments

Mermaid Maxi Moments

Some days, you just feel like a mermaid. I bought this dress at a teeny tiny store in Manhattan Beach, CA before moving to Nassau. To my imagination, this was what life would be 24/7... with a pina colada in hand. Backless. Cozy. Chic. It's getting there. It's been hard to pry me from my jean shorts, but I'm starting to genuinely fall for maxi dresses. For a while I refused to even wear a tank top because my back broke out so badly, but now that those days are gone, and the sun is it's full glory, I'm loving the warmth on my shoulders. This maxi is making me hunt for even more to live in.

Sunny Day Casual

Sunny Day Casual

If you checked out my Shopular post this week, you know how much I love a good lazy day outfit. And not just on Sundays. I lead a casual life, but I don't think that means you needs to sacrifice your sense of style. Fashion can feel out of reach, but style is for everyone. And to me style is being comfortable in your skin. Doesn't matter what you are wearing.

Beach Bag Essentials (+ Giveaway!)

Beach Bag Essentials (+ Giveaway!)

I am at the beach 2+ days a week. It's down stairs so it's hard not to go soak up the sun for at least a few minutes a day. Given that that is our lifestyle we have a beach bag by our door that never gets unpacked. There are a few things that never ever leave my beach bag. Those things are sunscreen, a good book, a towel, and my Evian spray. I can't go to the beach without those things. (In my hand is usually a Tervis or a Coozie holding my cold drink.)
