The Perfect Vacation Memento

The Perfect Vacation Memento

Living in Nassau is not a permanent thing for me and my husband. We are briefly spending 3-4 years here for work and sometimes we just wish you could take the beach with you when we finally leave. You just want something to remember is all by...

A few months ago I found out about an incredible company, Dune Jewelry, and was beyond excited. In fact, keeping it to myself this long has felt like hiding a pregnancy. I wanted to wait until every one could see this post and how incredible this idea is.

Parisian Picks! #Food

Parisian Picks! #Food

I have been beyond slow at sharing our trip. I know. But it's fun to go over the trip a month later and see how fun and delicious it really was. Sharing the post makes me want all of these amazing dishes again. I wish I had taken even more food photos because I'm a nerd and these are some of our greatest memories. We are food people. We can't help it.

With the help of my husband, I'm about to recount some of the best food spots in Paris.

La La Love London #Food

La La Love London #Food

London was everything. We were ready to cancel our return flight, and relocate on day one. It doesn't hurt that great beer and pies & mash are everywhere. I'm a mutt of a human, I like it that way. I'm Irish, English, Russian, German, and Polish. This means, my favorite meal probably involves mashed potatoes. So being in a city, where that best mashed potatoes (and mushy peas), are at any turn, well I was basically in heaven. London is full of parks and garden. People meeting with their friends to have drinks in a mini park after work. Bar patrons spilling out on to the streets to chat. Everyone has style, like New York City, but British. People are friendly, and everywhere feels like Cheers.

Visiting Paris... not as Kim Kardashian

Visiting Paris... not as Kim Kardashian

ere's the thing. I went to Paris when I was 20 and it was a magical city of lights. To be clear, I wasn't paying for the trip, I was champagne drunk, and at a wedding the whole time... so everything was beyond magical. I couldn't wait to go back. I was giddy and almost talked my husband out of visiting London just because I couldn't wait to be in Paris for as long as possible. Friends of mine are obsessed with the city. I packed as if I was heading out on a press tour. 7 pairs of high heels, including two pairs of Christian Louboutins, 6 dresses, clutches, light weight coats. I put together outfit after outfit like I was Kim Kardashian. And then we arrived.

My London Look

My London Look

I love London. So So Much. It's crisp, and clean, has parks at every turn, amazing beers, pies and mash, nice people, gorgeous landmarks, royalty... it was everything I could've wanted. And more.

We wanted to move there immediately. I' sure we will at some point, but until then, we can visit.

I packed for this trip like I was going on a press tour. Seven pairs of heels! Never put on one pair. I tried on a million outfits and had them all ready to go. Got there and lived in Converse and my Frye motorcycle boots for 11 days. We walked all over Europe until we could barely walk any more, and that's when we stopped for drinks. Walk, drink, repeat.

Mia Marcelle x Me

Mia Marcelle x Me

While in Exuma, I debuted my new Mia Marcelle bikini. Yes, debuted. It's such a pretty bikini it couldn't just go to any old beach day. This baby deserves a yacht. I've had white bathing suits before, but something about this one feels extra special, and even though I wasn't on my honeymoon, it felt like it. Mia Marcelle has a few bathing suits I lust over (like the Conchita and the Pierce two-pieces!) and I think I'll start building my collection.

Exumas Recap: #WIW Bathing Suit by ZINKE!

My weekend trip to the Exuma Islands were everything, and more. I tried desperately to move there this weekend. If you followed along on my Instagram, you saw that the water is absolutely breathtaking. The people are nothing but friendly, there is no such thing as crime, the food is delicious, the music is fun. It's my favorite place in the entire world. I can't get enough of it. I would absolutely go back tomorrow.

Bahamas Rum Festival 2015

Bahamas Rum Festival 2015

Sunday we headed over to the Rum Fest at Fort Charlotte in Nassau to see what all the flyers were about. It was pretty fantastic to be honest. Not too crowded which, for me, makes it much more relaxing, and we met up with some friends.  They had everything in a pirate theme, and I am a sucker for a good themed party. It's the sorority girl in me. There was even an amazing food and rum pairing session which I instagram-ed about a few times. The pairing sessions included an Octopus and Lion Fish Rum Ceviche and finished off with a homemade Rum Marshmallow and Chocolate S'more. I ate two of those and would've eaten 6 if they had let me...
