Apple Pie Recipe Inspiration

Last week my Mother-In-Law gave us a few pie dishes. J had told her how I had made this Peanut Butter Pie for a party a few weeks ago, but was irked by the idea that I had to use a disposable tin pan since we didn't own a real pie dish. Now I hear how snobby and bratty that sounds, but I love platters and hosting a good party, so a tin pan basically stabs me in the heart. Just a little bit.

Since our trip to Florida and experiencing the "crisp air" (aka not 85 degrees) it has felt like the holidays are in full force. We've been trying to figure out where we will put the Christmas tree next month, and I even started playing Christmas music yesterday. I'm not usually a fan of skipping over Thanksgiving in any sense, but there's no Thanksgiving music on iTunes that I am aware of, so Christmas music will have to do.

With the holidays comes food. Thoughts of what we will bake and make for the upcoming parties and get togethers. Since my recent efforts have been celebrated, I'm encouraged to try again. And all I can think of is Apple Pie. I have never made an apple pie in my life, but I have always wanted to take on the feat. There is something about mastering an apple pie that makes me feel ready for adulthood. I know that sounds ridiculous, but there are things my mother has always made that I can't celebrate the holidays without. I'd like to add apple pie to that list for my future kids. Plus... who doesn't want their home to smell like a fresh baked apple pie.

So of course, as anyone does when they are hunting down a recipe, I turned to Pinterest.

Here are my top 3 inspirations to try!
