DIY Gift: Photo Coasters

I love personalized gifts and Pinterest has taken it to a whole new level. Honestly there is nothing better than a gift that says “I thought about YOU.” When my boyfriends’ family said they wanted to do a Secret Santa exchange for under $15 last Christmas, I knew I had to get thinking. And then, when I was assigned his mom! Oh geez. I’m not going to lie, I was nervous. So, I searched for good ideas and finally came across this one. Personalized coasters. It was simple, fun, and a timeless gift. I was able to put black and white photos of her kids and grandkids on something she’ll be able to use forever. Hopefully, she liked it as much as I do.

Here are pictures and instructions!

The Cottage Home

Most DIY blogs say to use felt on the bottom, but after toying with a few, I think the rubber sticker bumper things are WAY better. They just look cleaner. And they are way easier. I got them at Michael’s. This literally cost me less than $20 to make these, plus a set for my boss, and I still have a ton of extra supplies. It’s genius. I would welcome this as a gift from anyone, at any time, as many times as they like. Plus, I’ll probably make a few for myself.

P.S. My BF’s Amazingly talent niece, Chelsea, took the photos above. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!
